The Teambox Server provides serveral services to users. Namely, it allows
centralized user provisioning, optionally through ActiveDirectory, manages
and logs shared information, and provides a web interface to users who do
not have the Teambox Manager installed or available to them.
The Teambox Server is provided as a virtual machine image, typically for
the VMware ESX platform. In an on-site deployment, it requires one static
IP address and needs to be accessible through the DMZ. The configuration
and management of the Teambox server is all done through an intuitive
web interface. During normal operation, the Teambox Server operates as a
self-contained, zero administration appliance.
